I intend to put the last moths reoccurring thoughts to paper (and not bore you in the process)
I’ve learned a few things this month. I’ve found I have made a true friend in Montontonjon. You see I have switched employment locations, and in doing so I will not see the fellow as much as in past times. My first day he Texted me with well wishes and regards, which was a welcome surprise. It goes to show small things count.
I have also learned not to trust the people your fist instincts tell you not to trust. That goes for taking advice from such folks as well. In the last 2 weeks I have thought to of sold my house, not sold my house, rented my house, not rented my house… A rollercoaster of emotions and a fuckin’ Bitch on the Ol’ nerves…I’m going to get some whiskey just thinking of the bullshit makes me turn to the drink…BRB as they say.
Ahhh yes, Drink and a plate of chicken Mashed and Biscuits!
So Music, right, I will list for my own pleasure my most liked songs as of late:
-Moonlight Mile by the Rolling Stones
-Shipping of to Boston by the Dropkick Murphys
-Hole in the Earth by the Deftones
-Live In Ibiza by Dj Tiesto
-Cat like Thief by Boxcar Racer (ft. Tim Armstrong)
-Killing in the name of by Rage against the Machine
In keeping with the music theme I will quote CKY with a line that really struck me today:
“…When they tell you who to be, you’ve entered into a familiar realm…”
Imagine being exactly who you want to be every second of every day. A luxury I am not granted working in retail. I Moo for the corporate cow every day friends. I’m not proud of this but alas it’s true. Feck, some ones gotta pay these feckin’ bills! I can’t just walk around scratching my ass all day, talking to you!
Ok Well I’ve bored myself, can’t imagine what I’ve done for you.
By for now.

Researchers used functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) to determine how coffee activates different areas of the brain in 15 volunteers.

“Caffeine modulates a higher brain function through its effects on distinct areas of the brain,” explains Florian Koppelstätter, who carried out the research with colleagues at the Medical University at Innsbruck, Austria.

Prior to testing, the group fasted for 4 to 6 hours, and abstained from caffeine and nicotine for at least 24 hours. Then they were then given either a cup of strong coffee – containing 100 milligrams of caffeine – or a caffeine-free placebo drink. After 20 minutes all participants underwent fMRI scans while carrying out a memory and concentration test. A few days afterwards the experiment was repeated under the same conditions but each received the other drink.

Executive memory
During the memory tests, participants were shown a fast sequence of capital letters, then flashed a single letter on a screen and told to decide quickly whether this letter was the same as the one which appeared second-to-last in the earlier sequence. They had to respond by pressing a “Y” for yes or “N” for no.

“The group all showed activation of the working memory part of the brain," Koppelstätter explains. "But those who received caffeine had significantly greater activation in parts of the prefrontal lobe, known as the anterior cingulate and the anterior cingulate gyrus. These areas are involved in 'executive memory', attention, concentration, planning and monitoring."

“This type of memory is used when, for example, you look up a telephone number in a book and then mentally store it before dialling,” he adds.

Pick-me-up
Koppelstätter stresses that the study is preliminary and that he has yet to discover how long the memory effects last or what other effects coffee has on brain function. He adds that the long-term impact of caffeine use is also an important consideration.

But he says the study shows that coffee has an effect on specific brain regions involved in memory and concentration that tallies with anecdotal evidence of the drink's “pick-me-up” effect.

Caffeine is known to influence adenosine receptors which are found throughout the brain on nerve cells and blood vessels. It is thought that the drug inhibits these receptors and that this excites the nerve cells in the brain. “This may be the mechanism involved,” suggests Koppelstätter.

The research was presented at the annual meeting of the Radiological Society of North America.

I get chills up my back and daydream of these amazing scenes that play out in my minds eye. I get excited come home to score random clips downloaded of the Ol' Interneticus, and strike out. You tube is great but no way to save them to your HD. Let alone good free scoring software. Arrg.
I can't believe it sometimes, but I feel it inside my heart. These guys are totally awesome and that's a fact. Ninjas are fast, smooth, cool, strong, powerful, and sweet. I can't wait to start yoga next year. I love ninjas with all of my body (including my pee pee).

Q: Why is everyone so obsessed about ninjas?

A: Ninjas are the ultimate paradox. On the one hand they don't give a crap, but on the other hand, ninjas are very careful and precise.

Q: I heard that ninjas are always cruel or mean. What's their problem?

A: Whoever told you that is a total liar. Just like other mammals, ninjas can be mean OR totally awesome.

Q: What do ninjas do when they're not cutting off heads or flipping out?

A: Most of their free time is spent flying, but sometime they stab. (Ask Mark if you don't believe me.)

Ninjas can kill anyone they want! Ninjas cut off heads ALL the time and don't even think twice about it. These guys are so crazy and awesome that they flip out ALL the time. I heard that there was this ninja who was eating at a diner. And when some dude dropped a spoon the ninja killed the whole town. My friend Mark said that he saw a ninja totally uppercut some kid just because the kid opened a window.
Not from the loss of his fellow crewman but for the blasphemous act of crossing him self. His Pride lay on running the most deadly crew in the northern seas, and to see such weakness in his mate, to Bodolf justified his death.
With the Passing of each day the numbers of crewman shrank. Suicide had been recorded on ships of this kind but never so many, so quickly, so crudely. The kitchen could have been a gallows atop an autumn hill, 6 hanged dead there. The Wooden planked floor tacky with the quickly drying blood and excrement. Muted and meaty thuds of shrugged shoulders knocking on cabinets filled the tiny room with each passing wave. The sleeping quarters littered with bodies pilled like a child’s forgotten dominos, each slightly atop the next. From Door to wall 8 take their final rest here. They lay slumped Carved at the throat, each man a knife in hand. Eyes stare blankly from port to starboard, starboard to port as if transfixed on a horrible scene unable to break free their gaze. There has been Payment collected here dear reader, but the bounty is far from filled.

If he was gifted by God upon birth, it was with the skill of leadership. When it came to raising the raging beast in his fellow man, no one was greater. His sailors were loyal till death and had been known for there own evils. It is still told at harbor that once, Captain Bodolf and his crew approaching at midnight to a small fishing township anchored and proceeded to port stealthily. The order was given to burn all houses and church’s killing anyone in plain view. His crew not only carried out these commands steadfastly, but proceeded to kill all live stock, scorch harvests, and burn all boats in port. Leaving the remaining towns folk to starve and suffer a death most painful.

A small Nordic Isle used by the crew to hide prisoners and treasure alike. From Svalbard, his ancestors were great Nordic archers. Pagan in belief, he was forced to flee his home for his sadistic Heathenism. The worst being the Burning down of the town’s Christian church during mass, nailing giant oak boards across the doors damning the faithful to a slow fiery death. When He was discovered huddled in the hull among the barrels of rum and fresh water Terrified upon his reveal, Aasim lunges upon his discoverer with a ferial hunger. Having not eaten for a month except for the occasional curious rat, Aasim tears into his prey’s throat with a fatal sever. Gulping the warm nectar he feels his energy slowly returning. Finally sleep finds the stow away, his eyes heavy from days of sleeplessness. It won’t be long now before he is discovered. Surely there will be a thorough search for the cook upon meal time. “Rest is key to your survival” he says, closing his eyes.

 Comments

Verdammt ( Pt 1.)

The Midnight seas crash over the Hull. The Nordic winds rip the sea air cracking the sails taught, speeding the Massive ship over furious white tipped waves. They are headed north at a blistering pace, the cliffs can’t be far off now. The smell of sulfur from the sea spray burns the First mates eyes as he stumbles from the cabin. A furious wave slams the starboard walls, sending him headlong into the stern side railing. A crunch of wood and bones fills Barrett’s ears. He feels the ominous warm flow of fluid passing his eyes. The salty water feels like bees stinging in the freshly opened wound. As he cross’ him self to beg forgiveness the next wave sends him cart wheeling overboard, an offering to St. Elmo.
There are two left upon this damned voyage. A penance will be paid for the deeds of this crew. Thirty set sail and two remain.

Hit and run occurred yesterday at approximately 6:00 pm Last night in the greater Boston Metropolitan area. The Victim of this attack was mildly injured, and was released from the scene in “acceptable condition”. These statements came from the by chance counselor on hand.

The Suspects were seen only briefly, and no accurate descriptions could be accumulated from the few, quickly passing witnesses.

When asked about the incident the Victim was quoted as saying “I never saw it coming. It was a brutal shock and I’m happy to be in the condition I currently am.”

It seems what this world needs is the opinion of another American. Ok, so that’s not exactly on point. But need it or not, I will be giving opinions and any other ideas I may have on this modest planet we cohabitate.
A little background I was born in Western NY and Moved to NE when I was 18. I moved in search of the “American Dream “but always knowing it was a fairy tail. Since then I have lived in three different states had 3 Crazy girlfriends, and one amazing one who I am currently living with (in sin). I’ve had 4 Jobs. Gone to sleep hungry multiple times, Begged for gas money, Quit smoking Twice, and Visited Italy, among other things. If I told you all these other things straight away you’d never come back. What a shame that would be.
I have learned:
1.	Money, although making life easier when in hand, does not motivate me to do better.
2.	Always turn to your friends when in need, and your family when you are not.
3.	I am a God fearing man who struggles with the concept of religion.
4.	I like to read Horror books. Give me blood and gore to wash away the stress of silly things like bills.

Well that’s all for now. Hope to see you again. Adios Hombre
